Colorado University Receiver System for Enforcing Drones (CURSED)

Project: Remote ID Detection Network

Abstract: CURSED is a drone detection and tracking system developed in response to the new FAA Remote ID mandate. By leveraging the existing campus power over ethernet (PoE+) infrastructure, which facilitates both power and high speed data transmission over a single network cable, alongside a scalable cloud architecture, the system provides cost-effective and robust real-time monitoring of drones. This approach represents a significant step forward in the evolution of airspace management with increasingly busy skies.
