Zach is a professional research assistant at the SWx TREC.聽His research focuses on using precision orbit determination and satellite drag impacts as a means of conducting density model validation and extracting neutral density estimates from satellite tracks.聽Zach is a member of the SWx TREC鈥檚 satellite drag research group and is interested in the work being done to better understand and address space traffic management of low-Earth orbiting assets.聽He received a BS in Physics (2017) and gained experience across many physics research disciplines such as nuclear, radiation dosimetry, radio astronomy, heliophysics, and space weather forecasting before getting a MS in Aerospace Engineering Sciences (2020) and joining the SWxTREC team.聽Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending quality time with his two cats, singing in the local community choir, listening to audiobooks, and partaking in the many outdoor activities available in Colorado.
