Rosy is a postdoctoral research scientist at CU Boulder and has been working with Professor Sidney D’Mello since October 2019. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London, UK and an MS in Natural Sciences from University of Cambridge, UK. In between her degrees, she worked as a research assistant with cochlear implant users.

Her current work addresses cognitive and affective processes during learning and reading. She develops machine learning models to track comprehension and attention from multimodal sensors including EEG, fNIRS, eye gaze and wearable sensors. As part of iSAT’s Strand 1, Rosy works on automatic speech recognition and processing to help extract as much information as possible from noisy audio recorded in the classroom.

In addition to the obligatory Boulder pastimes of trail running and skiing, she enjoys making art and electronic music.
