Jiani is a Ph.D. student at聽Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is assisting iSAT with聽detecting聽interruptions during聽group discussions. The goal of this project is to聽identify instances where one speaker interrupts another during group conversations and identify聽the interrupter as well as the timing of the interruptions. Before she began her Ph.D. study, she obtained her graduate degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and her undergraduate degree from Hunan University. She also worked in Baidu (Beijing, China) as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
