Derek Palmer previously worked on MYST (My Science Tutor) with Wayne Ward, a project that produced the library of children's speech the Institute is using to train its automatic speech recognition. He graduated with a professional masters in UX research and digital product design in 2020.聽He is聽currently a UX and Conversational Design consultant with Brandeis University's Multimodal Dialogue research in Strand 1.聽
