Wisdom Amouzou

Wisdom is representing The HadaNõu Collective (HNC) which has created learning environments where students partner with educators and industry experts to solve real community problems via 5 centers: STEM & maker technology, student voice, and social activism, the environment andÌýnatural resources, the Arts, and Wellness. In these centers, students design smart canes for the blind,Ìýuse writing to become agents of social change, and challenge dominant power structures in education. HNC is opening a high school in Aurora, CO in Fall 2019.ÌýPreviously, Wisdom worked as a Diversity and Equity fellow with RISE-Colorado to design and pilot anti-oppression workshops for families, and educators. He also taught Ethical Leadership, Multi-Level Issues in Leadership, and Community Issues in Leadership to undergraduate students and has developed pedagogy at the African Leadership Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in Communication and a certificate in Leadership Studies, Wisdom taught in Denver and was awarded the 2015 Sue Lehmann Teaching andÌýLearning Fellowship through Teach for America. He was also a 2017 Camelback Ventures Fellow. His life goal is transformative resistance, developing revolutionary love, and actively decolonizing his mind.
