Erika Gossett will graduate next month with a BM in flute performance, as well as a BA in media studies, a minor in business and a Music Entrepreneurship Certificate, exemplifying the College of Music鈥檚 universal musician vision. To support our students鈥� and our community鈥檚 musical development, the College of Music offers summer session courses and richly varied summer programming.

The newly expanded Imig Music Building strengthens the college鈥檚 Musicians鈥� Wellness Program by better supporting students in navigating the often complex and multifaceted path of being a musician.

鈥淲e have a strong foundation for DEI work and we鈥檙e seeing progress [...] but there鈥檚 more work鈥攎ore positive disruption鈥攁head of us before we can claim ubiquitous inclusivity in our college鈥檚 culture, classrooms and curricula.鈥�

鈥淲e have a real opportunity to use the American Music AV名湿 Center as a uniting force to bring together people of different cultures, ethnicities, perspectives and walks of life. I see this [DEI] work as not only educational, but as a strategy to improve the environment in which persons of color are pursuing their educations at CU Boulder.鈥�
