Emily was born and raised in Vancouver, and has had the pleasure of working at McGill University in Montreal and the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, Germany. Like a good Canadian girl, she loves hiking, music, hockey, and good beer. Emily is working to improve CrO2 synthesis for many potential applications, including spintronics and lithium ion batteries.
