Claire Howard, a proud Colorado native, joined the Kasprzyk research group during the summer of 2015 while she pursued a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University. Claire supported the NSF-funded AirWaterGas Sustainability AV名湿 Network while working with the Kasprzyk group. In this role, Claire developed reports on legal and technical documents related to the social and economic implications of unconventional oil and gas development. Claire's research experience with the Kasprzyk group piqued her interest in the connection between engineering and policy. Later on in her undergraduate career, Claire pursued a research opportunity with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in southern Israel, where she was a contributing member of a project in a hydrology lab focused on water flow and exchange in streams. Since graduating from Northwestern in June 2018, Claire has participated in a statewide fellowship program in California where she supports a regional water authority on developing regional groundwater sustainability plans to address California's Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.
