The first quantum computing summer school at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory was held fromÌýJuly 18 toÌýAugust 11 in 2022 at theÌýLivermore Valley Open Campus.ÌýQuantum computing is a rapidly emerging technology that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems too complex for classical computers. Livermore scientists develop quantum systems and associated scientific applications to address ongoing and emerging national-security needs. This summer, Livermore’s quantum computing experts and external collaborators offerÌýa series of tutorials for staff, students, and other members of the Laboratory community covering both quantum computing basics and more advanced topics.
