The first quantum computing summer school at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory was held from听July 18 to听August 11 in 2022 at the听Livermore Valley Open Campus.听Quantum computing is a rapidly emerging technology that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems too complex for classical computers. Livermore scientists develop quantum systems and associated scientific applications to address ongoing and emerging national-security needs. This summer, Livermore鈥檚 quantum computing experts and external collaborators offer听a series of tutorials for staff, students, and other members of the Laboratory community covering both quantum computing basics and more advanced topics.
