We would like to recognize the great work by our graduate student Shawn O'Neal. Shawn gave a talk at the Inclusive Sport Summit today, February 15, 2018, in the Touchdown Club. His talk, "Discussing Dissent: Social Justice and Sport," generated a stimulating conversation about social justice and sport.

Congratulations to Dr. Nicholas Villanueva, whose book, Lynching of Mexicans in the Texas Borderlands, recently won the 2017 Southwestern Studies Book Prize though the University of Texas and the Border Regional Library Association, and the 2018 NACCS Tejas Foco Non-Fiction Book Award from the National Association for Chicana & Chicano Studies (NACCS)!

Professor Belknap will teach 15 to 16 CU undergraduate ("outside") students will have a 3-hour class once a week for Spring semester 2018 that will be on "Social Justice" in this prison.
