Terri Fiez, vice chancellor for research and innovation at CU Boulder, will host a seminar Oct. 9 to discuss campus research efforts and priorities specifically with CU Engineering faculty and staff.

The event, scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 in the Aspen Room of the University Memorial Center, will be an open discussion. Topics will include CU鈥檚 efforts to improve support for campus investigators and how CU Boulder's research, scholarship and creative activities are advancing the university's strategic imperatives.

Lunch will be provided and a required registration can be done online through Oct. 2.听

Fiez joined CU Boulder in 2015. Previously, she spent more than fifteen years at Oregon State University where she was the head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the AV名湿 Agenda Strategy Consultant to the vice president for research and head of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.听

Fiez earned bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho and a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from OSU. She is a former National Science Foundation Young Investigator awardee with over 150 publications.
