Join Engineering Staff Council and Human Resources for a day of events to reconnect with colleagues and experience campus again! All staff members in the College of Engineering and Applied Science are invited to attend as many events as you wish.

Schedule of Events

All day | Office cleanup

Additional trash and recycling bins will be available in the Engineering Center Lobby near the Dean's Office for anyone who needs to tidy up their desks and offices.Ìý

Drink coaster8:30-9:30 a.m. | Welcome Wednesday

Enjoy free coffee and donuts while you catch up with colleagues at this monthly drop-in event held in the Engineering Courtyard (covered area beneath the Engineering Center).ÌýEngineering Staff Council will share brief words of welcome and employee recognitions around 9 a.m.

Plus, stop by the HR table if you need to pick up your buffalo plaque for 5-, 10- and 15-year work anniversaries or for Employee of the Month or spot awards you earned in the last year. Everyone can pick up a free CU-themed drink coaster (coaster design pictured on right).

Virtual Option: From 8:30 to 9 a.m., a virtual Welcome Wednesday event will be held on Zoom for anyone working remotely. .

9:30-10:30 a.m. | College Tour

Open to all but designed especially for new employees, this tour led by Assistant Dean Cherie Summers will orient you to the Engineering Center, Discovery Learning Center, Integrated Teaching and Learning Lab and the brand new business-engineering connector, the Rustandy Building. Meet outside the Dean's Office in the Engineering Center Lobby.

11 am. to 1 p.m. | Lunch with colleagues

Join Engineering Staff Council for free lunch from Panera Bread and a few games of cornhole or giant Jenga. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket. Please RSVP using the form on the right so we can order the right amount for lunch - or bring a bagged lunch and enjoy the company. Meet in the Engineering Courtyard (covered area beneath the Engineering Center).

1-2 p.m. | Campus Tour

Open to all but designed especially for new employees, this tour will showcase a few highlights of the CU Boulder campus, from the C4C, to the new CASE building, to the Roser ATLAS Center and the UMC. Meet outside the Dean's Office in the Engineering Center Lobby; the tour will end at The Connection, the UMC bowling alley. Bring a hat or umbrella for shade!

2-3 p.m. | Bowling at the UMC

Meet and mingle with others at The Connection, the UMC bowling alley, while taking out your pandemic stress on a set of pins. Human Resources is picking up the tab for bowling games.

Health & Safety

Masks are no longer required in indoor or outdoor spaces on campus, but you are welcome to wear a mask if you prefer for comfort and safety.

HR will provide optional colored wristbands at the Welcome Wednesday event for anyone who wishes to quickly communicate your comfort level interacting with others. Red signifies that you do not wish to make any close contact. Yellow indicates that you are comfortable with conversation but not any physical contact. Green indicates that you are comfortable with hugs, high fives or other close contact.

After the Welcome Wednesday event, wristbands will be available for pickup at the Dean's Office in the Engineering Center for anyone who wishes to wear one.

Parking Information

If you have not yet restored your parking pass, Parking Services offers daily parking passes for $10 in campus lotsÌý(´Ç°ù  for those whose regular parking passes are on hold) or you can use the metered visitor parking and pay by the hour. Or use this opportunity to try out a .Ìý
