For more than 15 years聽Jessica Kizorek聽(Span) has offered training in self-expression and leadership. An entrepreneur and international activist, she owns a video production company called Two Parrot Productions. Jessica has traveled to more than 60 countries and covered dozens of humanitarian causes. She has also lectured at universities, written eight books and has been featured as a small business expert on CNN and Fox.

Houston native聽Kelly Hunsicker聽(Fin) left the Rocky Mountains in 2005 to return home for a position with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Today, she is assistant vice president in the oil and gas group.

Former student government tri-executive聽Richard M. Murray聽(Phil, PolSci; Law鈥�07) was named by ColoradoBiz magazine as one of the 鈥淭op 25 Most Influential Young Professionals in Colorado.鈥� He was featured in Law Week Colorado and in Colorado Super Lawyers. He works in Denver for the firm Polsinelli, representing individuals and companies in business litigation. In July, he will serve as the first vice president of the Denver Bar Association. He and wife聽Elizabeth Murray聽(Psych鈥�07) have a young son and newborn daughter.

An estimated seven million pieces of data are generated per second in the United States. At Virginia Tech University,Chao Wang聽(PhDElEngr) and a colleague are trying to develop new resource management tools for big data processing. They have a $750,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. Chao is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering.

The Aspen Times named聽Lauren Glendenning聽(Jour) executive editor last November. She had been the newspaper鈥檚 interim editor for the month leading to the official assignment, and worked as editorial projects manager for Colorado Mountain News Media previously.

Kinsey Hasstedt聽(Jour, Psych) is a public policy associate in the Guttmacher Institute鈥檚 Washington, D.C., office. She focuses on publicly funded family planning programs in the U.S., the impact of women鈥檚 ability to time childbearing and immigrant women鈥檚 access to sexual and reproductive health-care.

Kristen Russell Humphrey聽(Jour) provided marketing services for Lythgoe Family Productions鈥� Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Knight. The play premiered in December at the Pasadena Playhouse. CU alumni were offered a special discount.

Business partners聽Seth Johnson聽(MPhys) and Justin Lee (MChemEngr鈥�03) opened J&L Distilling鈥檚 tasting room on Pearl Street in Boulder in June 2013. Today, the company produces three spirits, SNO Vodka, SNO Gin and FYR.

The Life is Beautiful festival, a TED-esque speaker series curated and produced by聽Erin Booth聽(Psych), drew more than 100,000 people over three days in October in Las Vegas. It was the festival鈥檚 second year. It focuses on music, art and food. Learn more at lifeisbeautiful.com.

Last year聽Ashley Wagle聽(Psych) completed her master鈥檚 degree in counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo. She eventually plans to pursue a PhD and would like to find herself back at CU one day.

Lewis Roca Rothgerber appointed聽Dieter Raemdonck聽(PolSci) to the law firm鈥檚 regulatory and government practice in Denver. He represents the legislative priorities of clients in energy, real estate and health-care industries, as well as religious institutions.

The Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand law firm added聽Jason Reed聽(IntPhys) to its financial services group. Jason focuses on corporate trustee representation, issues relating to corporate trust litigation and bankruptcy concerns. He lives in Minneapolis.

Last spring National Corporate Housing named聽Natalie Gregarek聽(Comm) chief talent officer. She lives in Littleton, Colo.

In October a Google executive performed a record-breaking near-space dive from a high altitude balloon at 136,000 feet.聽Jared Leidich聽(MechEngr) and聽Josh Hecht聽(AeroEngr鈥�11, MS鈥�12) were part of the StratEx team that made the dive possible, working on the design of the balloon, the life support system, system development and operations.

UC San Diego Extension hired聽Jennifer Newell聽(Jour) as the marketing representative for business programs. She says one reason her application was singled out was because her current supervisor saw that Jennifer had graduated from CU. The supervisor鈥檚 husband,聽Mark Zumberge聽(MPhys鈥�78, PhD鈥�81), also went to CU and the couple had lived in Boulder.

Beecher Tuttle聽(Engl) is editor of eFinancialCareers鈥� North American site. Beecher previously worked at Fins.com, a career-focused editorial website formerly owned by the Wall Street Journal that was bought by eFinancialCareers.
