ESPNÌýwriter and Department of Communication alumna Kate Fagan will give the address on Friday, May 12, at Folsom Field.

Fagan joined ESPN in 2012 and has been a columnist and feature writer for espnW, whose stories have also appeared on ESPN.com andÌýESPN The Magazine. She is a regular panelist onÌýESPN’s Around the Horn,Ìýcontributes toÌýThe Sports Reporters, First TakeÌýand other shows.

Fagan has written several in-depth profiles that have generated media and social buzz, including anÌýESPN The MagazineÌýstory onÌý, a breaking-news interview with Derrick Gordon, theÌýÌýin NCAA Division I men’s basketball and a poignant look atÌý, a University of Pennsylvania track and field athlete who died by suicide.

Previously, Fagan spent three seasons covering the Philadelphia 76ers for theÌýPhiladelphia Inquirer.ÌýPrior to that, she was also a sports writer forÌýThe Glen Falls Post-StarÌýand the sports editor ofÌýThe Ellensburg Daily Record.
