As a participant in the Name Change Program you will receive a $300 stipend (one-time payment)听which will generally cover the costs associated with completing a legal name change in the state of Colorado.
Your participation in the program requires that you assist the next individual who elects to enter the program. This will include explaining the process (how, what听and when) of submitting documents, describing the court experience听and conveying what documents need to be changed immediately after a legal name change (SSN, driver鈥檚 license/identity card and passport). Your job is to give the real world experience to the next person and help decrease the anxiety associated with attending court and submitting legal documents.
If no student is available, this information will be conveyed through Pride Office staff.
