Dr. Nicole Sager is a AVÃûʪ Associate for the BUENO Center for Multicultural Education. Her research interests include refugee populations, bilingualism, early childhood, and CLDE teacher education. Having taught at the preschool, elementary and secondary level both in the U.S. and overseas, Dr. Sager is passionate about languages and deepening cross-cultural understanding. She teaches BA and MA level courses in Second Language Acquisition, Assessment and Advocacy for Emergent Bilinguals, Family Engagement, Bilingual Education, and Teaching Dual Language Learners in Early Childhood. Nicole holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Bilingual Education, an MA in teaching Spanish and ESL, and a PhD in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity.
